Virtual Birkie

Join us to Ski Your Virtual Birkie at Rikert Nordic Center!

The American Birkebeiner is an epic annual ski race in Wisconsin. Competitors ski either 14, 26, or 43 kilometers. This season the race has a Virtual Birkebeiner option, so you can put the kilometers under your skis here at Rikert Nordic Center.

When: Between February 20th and 28th you can ski your chosen length for a self-timed ski.

Where: Rikert will groom the course daily. The route will be marked and labeled for the your ski. Skiers will time themselves and can report their time to the nordic center if you want to be included in the finish list, which we will post here. Feel free to take a selfie at the start and finish and share those with us as well!

Who: Anyone is welcome to ski the Virtual Birkie at Rikert. All you need is a trail pass! For those skiers who are officially registered through American Birkebeiner in Wisconsin, the course meets the guidelines for the race. You must submit your own time to American Birkebeiner.
