Trail Conditions

Good Morning Everyone!

WEATHER: We have about 1″ of new snow dusting our tails this morning! It’s currently 32 degrees in the base area and we are expecting a high of 35. We will have cloudy skies early, then partly cloudy this afternoon. A few flurries or snow showers possible. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

GROOMING: The dusting of snow last night will be a nice addition to our natural, ungroomed trails this morning. Our first round of grooming this morning will include the Stadium, Battell, Bower, Picnic, Partridge, Thomas, Freeman, Gilmore, Crooked Brook, First Loop, Third Loop, Brandy Brook, Upper Craigs and S-Turns. We will be heading out to groom Figure 8, Frost, Inner Frost and Mandy later in the morning. Yesterday we also groomed Practice Loops, and Sugarhouse Drop, the night before. All natural snow trails and ungroomed trails could have icy spots and should be skied with caution.

TRAILS: We will have equipment out on the entire trail system this week grooming and pushing piles from our snowmaking efforts, so please ski with caution and again, be aware of icy spots and possible hidden obstacles under the snow. We are pushing piles on A-Climb/Springhill/Sheehan today, and plan to move to the piles on Viola White/Finish Hill afterwards, so please be certain to use caution in those areas as there will be piles of snow and working equipment present. A-Climb/Springhill and Sheehan across the flats to Sugarhouse Downhill remain closed to skiers as we continue to push piles down from snowmaking.

Please continue to respect our crew’s efforts and don’t walk (without snowshoes of course!) or bring your dogs on the snow. Thank you!
